Featuring Aronia Berry Cherry Liqueur

Ingredients (per serving):
1.5 oz. Gin
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice 
1/2 oz. Aronia Cherry Liqueur 
1 c. ice cubes
2 oz. sparkling wine (such as Brut Champagne)

 

Combine Gin, lemon juice, liqueur and ice, shake 20 seconds. Strain into chilled Champagne flute and top with sparkling wine or Champagne.  Enjoy!

 

Other Serving Suggestions:

Combine with Champagne, Sparkling wine or Sparkling water!

Combine with Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer!

Great over ice cream!

How about a chocolate waffle with that?

Berries and Cream

Ingredients (per serving):

2 oz Aronia Berry & Cherry Liqueur

1 oz Cream


In a small, tall straight-sided glass, add Aronia Berry & Cherry Liqueur.  Carefully pour cream down side of the glass to float the cream on top of the liqueur.  Sip Liqueur through the cream.  Or just add cream to Aronia Berry & Cherry Liqueur, with or without ice, and enjoy a fruity, creamy dessert cocktail.

Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients (per serving):
6 oz semisweet chocolate chips or pieces

6 oz bittersweet chocolate chips or pieces

3/4 cup heavy cream

3 Tbsp Aronia Berry & Cherry Liqueur

 

Notes: 6 oz is approximately 1 cup; using high quality chocolate will give the best results.  Other equipment needed: Pastry bag, wide tip (Wilon tip #199), parchment paper, and a cookie sheet. 

 

Measure chocolate into a glass bowl.  Heat cream just to boiling.  Stir hot cream into chocolate until completely melted.  Stir in Aronia Berry & Cherry Liqueur and mix thoroughly.  Chill the mixture for about 30-60 minutes, until the chocolate is firm enough to pipe through a pastry bag.  Spoon chocolate swirls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.  Refrigerate overnight.  Store truffles in the refrigerator.  Letting the truffles mellow for about three days which will bring out the liqueur flavor.  Texture of the truffles is optimum for about two weeks. 

Aronia Berry Cherry Old Fashioned

Ingredients (per serving):

2 oz Maker's Mark Bourbon

1 oz Aronia Berry & Cherry Liqueur

1/2 oz simple syrup

Dash of bitters (Angostura or Cardamom)

 

Garnish with: 

1 Premium Cocktail Cherry from Traverse City Whiskey Co. (or other cocktail cherries)

1 tsp (max) syrup from cocktail cherries or Twist of Cara Cara orange zest

Wedge of Cara Cara orange, slightly squeezed (or any other orange - or both)

Serve on the rocks.
